VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has partnered with Rosmerta Auto Recycling Pvt. Ltd. (RARPL) to support the authorised scrapping and recycling of end-of-life commercial vehicles across the National Capital Region (NCR).
The partnership will provide Eicher Trucks and Buses dealers and customers with access to a structured vehicle scrapping process through Rosmerta, a Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF). The initiative is aimed at helping vehicle owners retire ageing commercial vehicles through authorised channels.

Under the partnership, Rosmerta will support vehicle owners with registration and documentation under the PARIVARTAN scheme. It will also facilitate digital Certificates of Deposit (CoDs) through the authorised RVSF ecosystem.
The process will include scientific dismantling and depollution of end-of-life commercial vehicles. Regulatory documentation and recovery of metals and other automotive materials will also be part of the process.
According to the companies, more than 4.3 lakh vehicles have already been scrapped through Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities in India.

Support for Eicher Trucks and Commercial Vehicles
The partnership will help customers retiring old Eicher trucks access an organised scrapping process. This can help commercial vehicle owners manage the end-of-life stage of their vehicles while moving towards fleet renewal.
Rosmerta will also support the generation and transfer of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) credits from compliant ELV recycling, wherever applicable.
The companies said the authorised process will help recover materials such as steel and aluminium for reuse and recycling instead of sending vehicles through informal disposal channels.
PARIVARTAN Scheme Benefits in NCR
The partnership is also connected with the PARIVARTAN scheme for the National Capital Territory region. According to the companies, eligible transport vehicles purchased against a Certificate of Deposit can receive a 100% waiver of road/MV tax for 10 years.
The scheme also provides loan interest subvention of up to 5% of the interest payable on the replacement vehicle for eligible transport vehicles.
These benefits are intended to encourage vehicle owners to replace older vehicles through the formal scrappage ecosystem.
Eicher Motors and Volvo Group Partnership
VECV is a joint venture between Eicher Motors and Volvo Group. Its business includes Eicher branded trucks and buses, Volvo Trucks distribution in India and other commercial vehicle-related operations.
