Partnership aims to supply 1,565 ambulance vehicles across Maharashtra, improving emergency response and healthcare services in both urban and rural regions.

Pinnacle Industries Limited and SUMEET SSG BVG Maharashtra EMS have joined hands to supply a large number of ambulance vehicles in the state. As per the plan, around 1,565 ambulance units will be prepared under this project. This includes different types like Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support and some special neonatal ambulances also.

This project is part of Maharashtra’s MEMS 108 emergency service, which aims to improve medical response across the state. The idea is simple, more ambulances means faster help for people in need.

The ambulance service is planned for all 36 districts of Maharashtra. It will cover big cities as well as small towns and rural areas. Many places still face delay in emergency services, so this move is expected to help there.

SUMEET SSG is a joint venture formed recently and it got a long-term contract from the state government. The contract is for 10 years, so company will manage these ambulance services for long time.

In many cases, these ambulance units may also use platforms similar to Force traveller vans, which are commonly used for such services in India because of space and reliability.

Focus on Better Design and Safety

Pinnacle Industries will handle full ambulance conversion work. This means turning normal vehicles into proper ambulance units. Inside the vehicle, there will be medical equipment, proper seating for staff, oxygen systems, lighting and storage for tools.

All these ambulance vehicles will follow safety rules like AIS-125 standards. This is important because ambulance is not just a vehicle, it is like a moving treatment room.

The company says it is focusing on patient comfort and safety. Small things like space, easy movement and equipment placement can make big difference during emergency.

Companies Share Their View

People from both companies said this partnership is important for improving healthcare services. They believe these ambulance vehicles will help reduce response time and give better care during transport.

Pinnacle Industries also said that this project matches their focus on special vehicle design. They already work in different segments like seating, interiors and special vehicles.

Growing Need for Emergency Vehicles

In India, demand for ambulance services is increasing, especially after recent years where healthcare became more important topic. Companies like Force Motors also play role in this ecosystem by providing base vehicles used in ambulance conversions.

With this new project, Maharashtra is trying to improve its emergency system. If everything goes as planned, people may see faster ambulance service in coming time.
Overall, this looks like a positive step, though real impact will depend on how well these services are managed on ground.
