Six Sense Mobility Raises Rs. 44 Crore to Expand Local Automotive Electronics Manufacturing

IIT Delhi-incubated startup plans production expansion after raising fresh capital from prominent investors.

Six Sense Mobility, an IIT Delhi-incubated startup, has raised Rs. 44 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. The round was led by investor Ashish Kacholia. Existing investor Piper Serica Angel Fund also joined the round again.

The company was started in 2022. So it is still new in the market. Even then, it has been growing steadily. It mainly works on automotive electronics, building smart electronic systems and connected solutions for vehicle makers.

A big chunk of the new money is being put into a fresh unit in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. That’s where the company plans to make its electronics in larger numbers. To start with, it aims to produce a little over one million units in a year. The idea is simple — build the base first, then increase output step by step as orders grow. The idea is simple — make more products locally instead of depending on outside supply. Six Sense Mobility handles the entire process on its own. This gives it better control over quality and timelines.
It has already supplied Advanced Telematics Control Units and Body Control Units to major players, including partnerships linked with Volvo commercial vehicles in India.

Order Book Crossing Rs. 160 Crore

CEO and Co-Founder Sumit Roy shared that the company has deployed around 25,000 to 30,000 devices across India and parts of Europe. Its confirmed order book is now above Rs. 160 crore.
With demand rising in segments connected to Volvo trucks, local suppliers are seeing more opportunities than before.

Industry Moving Toward Smarter Systems

The automotive sector globally is shifting. Vehicles are no longer just mechanical machines. Electronics and software are now at the center. India’s Make in India push is also encouraging local manufacturing in electronics and deep tech. This shift is opening space for companies like Six Sense Mobility. Manufacturers such as Eicher commercial vehicles are also gradually adding more connected and intelligent systems to their product lines. That means suppliers need to be ready with scalable solutions.

Ready for V2V and Future Safety Tech

Investor Ashish Kacholia said automotive electronics will define the next phase of vehicle innovation. He pointed out that Six Sense Mobility’s vertically integrated model gives it a strong advantage.

CTO Kapil Rao added that the company is prepared to support the government’s vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication initiative. According to him, they already have the engineering capability to build V2V-enabled devices at scale.

As technology adoption increases across segments, including Eicher trucks, demand for locally made electronic systems is expected to grow further.

A Gradual but Steady Growth Path

The company earlier closed a pre-seed round in September 2023. After that, a seed round came in August 2024. Those early funds helped the team work more seriously on product development and build trust with OEM partners. Now things look a little different. With Rs. 44 crore coming in, the company is clearly preparing for a bigger push of trucks manufacturing. Production will need to go up. Technology will need to improve further. And partnerships will have to become stronger and more stable.
