Three days of exhibitions, conferences and networking come to end today as Prawaas 5.0 conclude in Gandhinagar. This edition was special because it also mark the tenth anniversary of the Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), one of the biggest platform for India's passenger transport industry.

On the last day, Shri Pravinbhai Mali, who is Transport Minister of Gujarat, come to the exhibition and spend time talking with exhibitors and industry people. Shri Dineshbhai Makwana, MP from Ahmedabad, was also present at the event, showing how much attention this gathering is getting from government side.
Numbers That Show The Scale Of Event
This year edition saw huge participation with 20,129 registrations and 227 exhibitors coming together. Around 20 startups showcase their ideas, while 15 conference sessions were held featuring 120 speakers in total. People from 31 states and union territories and 11 countries attended, discussing topics like electrification, policy reform, multimodal connectivity, financing, digital transformation, road safety, tourism mobility, driver skilling and more. Many sessions also talk about growing demand for
electric buses in India and how transport companies are adapting to it.
MOUs Signed For Women And Driver Welfare
Two important MOUs were sign during the event. First one is between Rotary International District 3080 and BOCI Naari, which is women's wing of BOCI and it will help women get skilling, licensing and employment as professional drivers. Second MOU, also with Rotary International District 3080, will focus on mental well being of drivers and road safety awareness among them.
The valedictory session had many top BOCI leaders present, including Chairman Jagdeo Singh Khalsa, President Prasanna Patwardhan and other office bearers, along with Prawaas 5.0 Convenor Siddiq Gandhi.
Awards And Support From Industry
Bharat Prawaas Awards 2026 recognised total 72 awardees, given through 50 BOCI Excellence Awards and 22 redBus People's Choice Awards. Categories include operational excellence, innovation, safety and sustainability among
buses operators.
BOCI President Prasanna Patwardhan said that this anniversary edition show how collaboration and policymaking are shaping future of passenger mobility across the country. The event got support from major names like
Tata Motors,
Eicher Motors and
Volvo, who all played important role as partners for different segments of Prawaas 5.0.
