The Tata LPO 1822 has a 6-cylinder 5.6-litre Cummins diesel engine. It gives 220 HP and 925 Nm torque. Full-air suspension makes the ride smooth, with no more bumps. Low noise and vibration keep passengers and drivers less tired on long trips. This bus chassis is made for comfort, long-distance travel, and easy handling for drivers even on rough Indian roads.
Flexible Seating Options
The bus chassis is built for different layouts. Seating can be 36 to 50, and sleeper designs are also possible. This makes Tata Bus Chassis useful for intercity and regional transport. Even Tata School Bus versions can use the same base for schools and private fleets.
Fleet Management with Fleet Edge
Tata Motors provides a free four-year subscription to Fleet Edge, a digital fleet management platform. Operators get real-time vehicle data, predictive maintenance alerts, route suggestions, and fuel optimization tips. This helps reduce running costs and improve the performance of buses, Tata School Buses, and other intercity vehicles.
Future-Ready Bus Platform
The LPO 1822 will serve as the base for Tata Magna Coach, a full-built intercity bus model. It promises even more safety, comfort, and features for passengers. Tata Bus and bus chassis technology keep improving to meet the growing demands of operators and travelers.
After-Sales Support and Services
Tata Motors has the Sampoorna Seva 2.0 program for buses. It gives yearly maintenance deals, 24x7 roadside help, and real spare parts. This keeps Tata School Buses and other buses running smoothly across India, makes sure they break less, and reduces downtime so operators can keep them on road without much trouble.
Expanding Reach in India
The launch comes as intercity travel grows in India. Tata Motors has over 4,500 sales and service points nationwide. The company is also changing its name back to Tata Motors Limited from TML Commercial Vehicles Ltd, part of the corporate reshuffle and stock market listing plans.
