The trucks are working with Enviiiro Wheels Mobility Pvt. Ltd. under an eight-year deal. These electric bulkers make transport safer and smoother compared to normal trucks or mini trucks on the same route. It’s not only about cutting fuel use but also about making the whole trucking operation smarter and cleaner.
Pushing Net-Zero Goals
CEO Arun Misra said these trucks help in cutting carbon and improving efficiency together. He shared that clean mobility is now becoming a main part of the company’s daily work. The aim is simple – reduce emissions, save cost, and protect worker health in the field.
Electric Buses for Employees
Along with the trucks, Hindustan Zinc signed an MoU with Enviro Wheels to bring electric buses for staff travel at Udaipur. These buses will replace diesel ones, giving employees a smoother and cleaner daily ride.
Adding to the Green Fleet
These new electric trucks now join the company’s already running battery trucks and LNG vehicles. Hindustan Zinc is also investing big in renewable projects — around 530 MW — plus turbine upgrades and new drives for saving more energy across plants.
Global Recognition
In 2025, Hindustan Zinc became the first Indian company to join the International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM). Its goals follow the 1.5°C global climate target. The company also ranked in the top 1% in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook two years in a row, showing that these green steps are not just on paper.
Impact on Mining and Transport
The new electric trucks will bring down emissions, improve work safety, and push efficiency. It shows electric truck and mini truck tech now ready for big industrial use. Hindustan Zinc is proving that mining and trucking can walk together with green energy.
In short, electric mobility is now becoming a real game-changer for India’s mining and transport future.
