Key Information at One Place
The QR system will provide highway numbers, project length, chainage, construction and maintenance details. It will also display contacts of the Highway Patrol, Toll Managers, Project Engineers, NHAI field offices, and the all-India helpline 1033 for emergencies.
Facilities Just a Scan Away
Using these QR code signboards, travellers and drivers can easily find out nearby restaurants, toll plazas, service centers and petrol pumps. The mini-truck, bus, and pickup users will easily access all facilities in their nearby areas. NHAI is trying to add a safety and informational factor to assist users.
Placement for Better Visibility
To ensure maximum use, the boards will be set up at toll plazas, rest areas, wayside amenities, highway start and end points, and truck parking bays. This will support both commercial drivers and daily commuters.
Road Safety with Transparency
NHAI’s move is not only about providing information but also about improving road safety. Quick access to verified contacts and facilities will reduce stress for drivers and create a safer highway environment.
Building Smarter Highways
With this new digital addition to highways, NHAI will provide more transparency and make highways more travel-friendly. For making road management more modern, this digital addition is a great step and will prove more beneficial for all commercial vehicles like buses, trucks and as well as cars also.
