It comes with LED headlights, 12-inch radial tubeless tyres, re-engineered suspension and Montra’s own 1M connected software platform. All this is priced at Rs 3,79,500 (ex-showroom, post subsidies), which feels competitive in the L5 segment.

This electric passenger auto gets a 10.6 kWh lithium-ion battery and a PMSM motor producing 13.41 hp and 60 Nm torque. The certified range is 191 km, while real world range is around 160 km. Charging takes less than 4 hours. With multiple drive modes, the top speed goes up to 55 kmph. A rear luggage space with openable tail gate makes it stand out among other passenger autos.

On the test track with potholes, speed breakers, slopes and sharp turns, the Super Auto felt confident. The front design looks stylish and the dashboard is clean.
