Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has started a new BharatBenz service center in Silchar, Assam. This move is mainly to give better support to transport operators who run vehicles in Northeast regions. The workshop was opened on 20 April 2026 with PPS Trucking as partner.

The new facility is located on Silchar Bypass at Ram Nagar. It is built over a large area of about 30,000 square feet. Inside, there are 8 service bays for repair and maintenance work.

Around 32 trained staff are working there. The center is capable of servicing nearly 3,000 vehicles in a year, which helps local transport business in a big way.
