The Election Committee has recommended that the current Chairman Pär Boman should continue in the same role. Shareholders will take the final decision during the AGM vote.
Keeping the same leadership is seen as important as Volvo Commercial Vehicles, Volvo trucks and Volvo buses divisions are working on electric mobility and better fleet efficiency.
One Senior Member Steps Down
The only major change in the proposal is the exit of long-serving board member Matti Alahuhta, who will not stand for re-election this year. His tenure covered a period when Volvo trucks expanded strongly in logistics markets and modern bus platforms gained popularity in passenger transport.
Most Board Members Proposed Again
Apart from this change, the committee has suggested re-electing ten existing members. The Election Committee includes representatives from Volvo’s large institutional investors. Together they hold around 16% company shares and close to 40% voting rights.
Their role is to review performance and make sure future strategy supports growth in heavy trucks, electric trucks and advanced buses.
Final Vote to Take Place in Gothenburg
Shareholders will take the final call during the AGM in Gothenburg, the city where the company’s main headquarters is based. The decision will play an important role in setting the next direction for Volvo Commercial Vehicles, especially as the company keeps investing in cleaner Volvo trucks, modern buses, and long-term growth in the global transport business.
