Haryana-based EV startup Jelio E-Mobility aims to boost three-wheeler production with a new unit, expecting a significant contribution to future revenue.

Haryana’s electric vehicle startup, Jelio E-Mobility, is planning to expand its three-wheeler lineup under its popular Tanga brand. The company expects the new manufacturing unit to start operations by April 2026. Jelio projects that in the next 2–3 years, three-wheelers could contribute 30–40% of total revenue.

Jelio is a bootstrapped startup run by Neeraj Arya, Deepak Arya, and Kunal Arya. Currently, the company operates its Hisar plant, which produces up to 72,000 electric 3-wheelers and other low-speed EVs annually in a single shift. As of March 31, 2025, the plant was operating at 52% capacity.

Shubham Garg, CFO, said, “As production increases, we will expand shifts to meet higher output and market demand.”

The company focuses on low-speed electric 3-wheelers designed for students, senior citizens, and short-distance travel. Jelio has built a network of over 300 dealerships across India.

Expansion with New Unit

Jelio plans to invest around Rs 20 crore for the new unit. Additional funds, around Rs 19–20 crore, will be allocated for R&D, working capital, and debt repayment.

Garg explained, “Despite medium capacity, the new unit is a strategic step. It will support the upcoming electric 3-wheeler and cargo 3-wheeler lineup and help expand our business.”

Financial Overview

In FY 2025, Jelio reported Rs 172 crore revenue, Rs 21 crore EBITDA, and Rs 16 crore profit after tax, giving a 9.29% margin. Its net worth stood at Rs 26.67 crore. Between FY 2023 and 2025, Jelio achieved a CAGR of 83% in revenue and 128% in PAT, showing rapid growth from a small base.

IPO for Funding

Jelio plans to raise funds through an SME IPO to finance expansion, debt repayment, and working capital. The Securities and Exchange Board of India has given approval to the IPO for this. Now, the IPO has been listed on the BSE, which will target up to Rs 78 crore.

The IPO opens on 30 September 2025 and closes on 3 October 2025, offering 46.2 lakh new equity shares and 11.4 lakh shares for sale at a price range of Rs 129 to Rs 136 per share.

Expansion Focuses on Tanga Unit

Garg said, “The IPO funds will primarily support expansion, but efficiency and technology improvement remain our priority. We will focus on R&D and design to strengthen our three-wheeler segment.”

Jelio may consider additional plants in South and East India in the future to reduce logistics costs, but the Tanga three-wheeler unit is the current priority.
