By Amit Jangra | Published Date : December 10, 2025
In November 2025, India sold 94,935 commercial vehicles. Tata, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland and VECV showed strong growth, driven by trucks, mini trucks and high demand in freight transport.
In November 2025, India’s commercial vehicle market grew strong. FADA said 94,935 trucks, buses, mini trucks and pickups were sold, much higher than 79,152 units last November, showing nearly 20% rise in overall sales.
The strong rise in demand mainly came from growing freight movement, leftover post-festival demand and steady activity in road construction and infra projects. This clearly shows that logistics, rural transport and construction-linked movement is still running quite stable. Many fleet owners also upgraded their trucks, buses, mini trucks and pickups before year-end, which pushed the numbers higher.

November was good for almost all big CV makers. November 2025 saw Tata Motors selling over 33 thousand units. Mahindra reached 28,225 units, mostly mini trucks and LCVs. Ashok Leyland did more than 15 thousand, helped by heavy trucks and passenger vehicles.
VECV posted nearly 26% growth, while Maruti Suzuki and Force Motors also delivered very healthy numbers thanks to higher demand in last-mile cargo and rural mobility. Daimler (BharatBenz) and SML Isuzu saw mild single-digit growth, but the “Others” category grew more than 84%, showing that new players are also getting a strong foothold in the CV space.
FADA Says November Outperformed Expectations
FADA president C.S. Vigneswar said usually vehicle sales drop after the festival season, but November 2025 surprised everyone. Most festival registrations were done in October, so November could have been slow. But GST cuts and good dealer offers helped buyers come to showrooms. Strong demand in October carried on into November, keeping the market positive.
Brand-wise Performance Shows Clear Market Trends
The detailed numbers highlight one clear trend — demand is strong across categories including trucks, buses, mini trucks and pickups. Growth in cargo movement, mining activity and rural transportation created stable traction in almost every region.
Tata Motors stayed strong with M&HCV and ILCV trucks. Mahindra sold most LCVs and mini trucks. Ashok Leyland got more customers in heavy cargo trucks and buses. VECV did well with heavy and medium trucks. Maruti Suzuki remained popular for small cargo vehicles.
Market Outlook Remains Positive
Even with the festival season over, November 2025 proved that India’s commercial vehicle segment is still expanding steadily. Rising freight demand, better rural connectivity and active infra projects continue to push the need for reliable commercial vehicles.
Overall, with 94,935 units sold, the CV industry showed strong strength moving into the final months of the year.
