Eicher Records 22.7% YoY Growth in Heavy-Duty Truck Sales in Dec 2025

Eicher trucks’ sales rose strongly in December 2025. Small, medium and heavy-duty trucks grew in India, while exports steadily increased.

VECV shared how many trucks and buses they sold in December 2025. This includes sales in India and other countries too. Eicher trucks sold more than they did last year.

Small and medium trucks are selling more this month. In December 2024, Eicher sold 3,641 SCV and LMD trucks. This December, sales reached 5,258 units. That is about 44% increase.

Many companies need small trucks for daily deliveries. City transport and e-commerce work is growing fast. People are buying these trucks for short routes and local deliveries.

Exports of Light Trucks Also Rise

Exports of LMD trucks increased a bit. VECV exported 362 trucks this December. Last year, only 319 were exported. This shows small Eicher Trucks are getting attention outside India.

The export numbers are not huge but they are growing steadily.

Eicher Launches Sub 5 Tonne Trucks

Eicher introduced Pro X trucks for sub 5 tonne segment. These are available in electric and diesel models. Two GVW options are 3-tonne and 3.5-tonne.

These trucks are made for city use. They are useful for e-commerce delivery, FMCG supply, courier work and cold chain transport.

Heavy-Duty Trucks Show Domestic Growth

Eicher’s heavy trucks did better this month. In December 2024, 2,137 units went out. In December 2025, 2,622 units went out. That is good growth for them.

Fleet owners are buying more trucks because transport and road projects are increasing.

Exports of Heavy Trucks Jump

Exports of heavy trucks rose sharply. Eicher exported 85 HD trucks this December. Last year, it was only 40 units. That is a big jump.

Overall, VECV exported 650 trucks and buses in December 2025. Last year, exports were 490 units. This shows 32% growth in exports.

Volvo Trucks and Total Sales

Volvo Trucks saw a drop, with sales down from 289 units to 207. Still, total VECV sales reached 10,384 units, up from 8,324 last year — a 24% overall growth.

Eicher Trucks are doing well in India and slowly gaining traction in export markets too.
