BKT Launches Two-Wheeler and Commercial Vehicle Tyres in India’s On-Highway Market

BKT enters India’s on-highway tyre market with two-wheeler and commercial vehicle tyres, aiming 5% market share by FY30 via ₹3,500 crore investment and nationwide distribution.


From Mumbai, Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT) now offers on-highway tyres in India. Launched on 24th February 2026, the range is for two-wheelers and commercial vehicles. Their goal: 5% market share by FY30 using ₹3,500 crore for production, R&D and distribution.

Along with the launch, BKT introduced its national campaign ‘Elevate Your Drive’ with actor Ranveer Singh. The company also presented its new identity ‘BKT – Growing Together’, splitting the business into BKT Tyres for all tyres and BKT Carbon for carbon black and industrial materials.

BKT makes two types of two-wheeler tyres. ZENOVA is for city rides, giving comfort and good grip. THYROS works on both on-road and off-road surfaces. Both are made in India, follow IATF 16949 standards and have BIS certification. Testing at NATRAX, Indore checked ride feel, braking in wet and dry conditions and handling.

M&HCV Tyres For Trucks, Mini Trucks, Pickups and Buses

For trucks, mini trucks, pickups and buses, BKT will launch two M&HCV radial tyres: BKT m.Loadxpert (11.00R20) and BKT Milexpert RG (295/90R20) in Q1 FY2026-27. These tyres are suitable for cement transport, construction logistics and regional cargo. Every tyre goes through 138 quality checks and 20+ design verification tests in NABL-accredited labs.

Satish Sharma, Senior President – Business Development, said, “We aim to deliver durability, mileage, comfort and high performance across all segments. Programs like ‘Journey Assistance’ and ‘Save the Casing’ are made to earn trust and loyalty from customers.”

Strategic Growth And Vision 2030

BKT has set aside ₹3,500 crore for this expansion, which includes production, R&D, distribution network and vertical integration through BKT Carbon. Under Vision 2030, the company plans its revenue mix as 70% off-highway tyres, 20% on-highway tyres and 10% from carbon black sales. Products will be gradually available through its nationwide distributor-dealer network.
