India is going through a massive infrastructure push. From roads to bridges to industrial projects, construction is happening everywhere. The mining industry is also expanding to support this growth.

It’s no surprise then that the demand for heavy-duty trucks, dumpers and construction trucks is going up. Industry reports say this sector could grow from $16 billion to over $45 billion by the year 2030. That’s nearly triple the size in less than a decade.

BharatBenz saw this opportunity early and started planning ahead. Before officially launching the trucks, the company tested nearly 200 of them at real construction and mining sites across India. These were not just lab tests. They were real-world trials with real results.

Overview of the New BharatBenz Trucks

Let’s break it down.

HX Series – Built for construction and logistics

  • Models - BharatBenz 2828C HX and BharatBenz 3532C HX
  • Designed to carry heavy loads over long distances
  • Comes with powerful engines 280 or 320 horsepower
  • Torque goes up to 1250 Nm

These trucks are not just strong—they are smart. They are meant for operators who want more value from their fleet, with less fuel use and lower costs.

Torqshift Series – Made for mining operations

  • Fitted with Automated Manual Transmission (AMT)
  • Helps reduce driver fatigue, especially on long shifts
  • Built to handle tough mining conditions
  • Offers smoother gear shifts and better fuel economy

There’s also a special version for concrete delivery: the BharatBenz 2828C RMC. It has a 9-cubic meter drum and runs on a 280 horsepower engine.

Focus on Safety and Driver Comfort

Daimler India did not just guess what the market wanted. They asked. Customers wanted trucks that were reliable, easy to maintain and economical to run. The company responded by redesigning its trucks from the ground up.

Pradeep Kumar Thimmaiyan, Chief Technology Officer at Daimler India, said every new feature—whether it's the new suspension or the upgraded cabin safety - was added based on real customer feedback.

Safety is another big focus. All trucks now meet EU crash safety norms and the cabins come with advanced monitoring systems to ensure drivers are alert and secure.

Distribution, Service and Exports

With over 385 touch points across the country, BharatBenz has built a strong support system. The company is also offering long-term maintenance packages to reduce downtime.

Production of the new models will be scaled up gradually over the next year at the company’s 440-acre Oragadam plant. Daimler India already exports trucks to more than 65 countries and exports now make up 30% of its revenue.

Final Thoughts

India is changing fast and so is the demand for vehicles that can keep up. With the launch of the HX and Torqshift series, BharatBenz has placed itself in a strong position to serve the growing needs of the mining and construction sectors.

These tipper trucks and mining trucks are not just machines. They are tools built for real-world work, designed with care and precision. Whether you are hauling stone from a quarry or pouring concrete on a highway project, BharatBenz now has a truck that’s up for the job.
