Ashok Leyland, India’s leading commercial vehicle maker, has reported its sales numbers for September 2025. The company sold 16,213 vehicles in total. In comparison to the current year 2025, Ashok Leyland sold only 14,800 units in September 2024. The sale of this year shows a 9.54% jump over last year.

The domestic market remained the main driver of sales. In September 20245, Ashok Leyland sold 14,245 units, while in 2025 the total sales were 15,572 units. This is a 9.31% increase.

• Ashok Leyland trucks of the medium and heavy-duty category were sold 8,862 units. This shows a 5% rise.
• The Ashok Leyland mini truck and LCV category recorded 6,710 units. This marks a strong 15% jump.

The mini truck segment continues to grow with rising demand for last-mile deliveries and small cargo movement.

Export Sales in September 2025

Exports also improved during the month. The company sold 641 vehicles overseas. In September 2024, exports stood at 555 units. This means a 15.40% growth.

• Mini truck and LCV exports fell slightly to 295 units from 325 last year.

Stronger truck sales in global markets balanced this decline in mini truck exports.

• 7,005 mini trucks and LCVs, up 14% from 6,156 units last year.
