The RCDC is built in the E Block of the campus. It will run for 10 years at first and maybe more later. This centre is for students and teachers from Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics branches. It is also for training Eicher workers and dealers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The idea is simple – give hands-on experience to everyone connected with vehicles.
Facilities and Practical Learning
The centre has three diesel vehicles, one electric vehicle and cut models of main automotive systems. There are also advanced diagnostic boards for automotive and electrical systems. Students can work on real vehicles in the classroom. This is very useful for learning, because they see how things actually work, not just in books. It also helps them get ready for jobs in automotive companies.
Why This Partnership is Important
D. Suresh Babu Garu, President of Vignana Jyothi Society, said, “Being chosen by Volvo-Eicher is big for VNR VJIET. It shows our education is matching industry needs. Students get better skills and future-ready knowledge.”
Sumit Diwan, National Head-Customer Care, Eicher, added, “This centre is for building talent. We want students to learn, train and work with our technology. We also want to hire some of these students and encourage more female engineers to join.”
About VNR VJIET
VNR VJIET started back in 1995 by the Vignana Jyothi Society. It works with JNTUH and is approved by AICTE. The college got A++ rating from NAAC. Students learn engineering and technology with a lot of focus on practical work and new ideas. Now, with the RCDC, they can get more real experience that helps them in future jobs.
