Mahindra Group has opened a new Truck and Bus 3S dealership in Hubli, Karnataka. The company says this new place is started mainly to make service and support easier for customers using commercial vehicles in this region.

The new dealership in Hubli will be managed by M/s Indhu India Motors Pvt Ltd, now working as Mahindra’s dealer partner. This will help the company take care of more trucks and buses and serve them better in the region.

The newly opened dealership is spread over about 52,000 square feet. It is a large space where vehicles can come for service, repair and spare parts support.

There are 7 bays in the workshop. This helps the staff repair or check several vehicles together. Usually, they can handle more than seven trucks or buses every day, though some days it might be less if the work is complicated.

For transport companies this kind of setup is useful because waiting time for service can be reduced.

Support for Different Commercial Vehicles

This Hubli dealership is designed to handle different types of commercial vehicles. It will provide service for heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs), intermediate commercial vehicles (ICVs), light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and buses.

Many fleet owners operate mixed vehicles in their business. Because of this, a service center that can handle different categories of trucks and buses becomes helpful for them.

The company hopes that operators using Mahindra trucks and Mahindra buses in this region will find the facility useful for regular maintenance and repairs.

Facilities for Drivers on Long Routes

Apart from vehicle servicing, the dealership also provides some basic facilities for drivers. One of them is driver lodging, where drivers can stay or rest while their vehicle is getting serviced.

The center also gives 24-hour help if a truck or bus breaks down on the road. They also provide AdBlue, which is needed for many modern vehicles to meet pollution rules.

For drivers who travel long distances, such small facilities sometimes become very important.

Mahindra Growing Its Service Network

According to Vinod Sahay, President – Trucks, Buses and Construction Equipment at Mahindra, the company is pleased to open this new dealership in Hubli. He said the partnership with Indhu India Motors will help strengthen Mahindra’s presence in Karnataka.

He also shared that Mahindra trucks and buses along with SML now have more than 200 3S dealerships and over 400 secondary service touchpoints across India. These service locations help provide support to customers in many transport corridors.

At present, Mahindra holds around 7% market share in trucks and buses, while its share in the I&LCV bus category is about 24%. The company is aiming to increase this share to 10–12% by FY31 and further grow it to over 20% by FY36.

Focus on Customer Experience

Venkat Srinivas, who looks after Mahindra trucks, buses and Construction Equipment, said the company cares about its customers and their requirements.

He mentioned iMAXX, a system that lets fleet operators monitor their vehicles and manage daily transport operations simply. According to the company, such technology and a strong service network together help improve the overall experience for customers.

Service Promise for Mahindra Trucks

Mahindra’s truck models like Blazo X, Furio, Optimo and Jayo come with certain service commitments. The company says if a vehicle is not back on the road within 48 hours, the customer will receive ₹1000 per day.

Also, if a vehicle takes more than 36 hours to repair at the dealership workshop, Mahindra promises ₹3000 per day. These commitments are meant to reduce downtime for transport operators.

With the opening of this Hubli facility, Mahindra hopes that operators running Mahindra trucks, Mahindra buses, trucks and buses in this region will get quicker service support and better maintenance options in the coming time.
