Transportes Ocón from Spain has added 15 new Fuso eCanter electric trucks in its fleet. These electric trucks will help in daily work for Correos, the national post service. Ocón already uses many big trucks like heavy trucks, 14-wheeler trucks, and 18-wheeler trucks, but now they are slowly moving to electric trucks also.

Two Truck Versions Arrive

Fuso gave two truck variants, which are the 7.49-ton 7C18e truck and the 8.55-ton 9C18e truck. These trucks have a box body and a tail lift. They can charge on AC or DC chargers, so the company can charge anywhere as needed.

Battery Range Good for City Routes

These trucks come with M or L battery packs. They can run around 140 km to 200 km on one full charge. For city delivery work, this range is okay. These electric trucks run cleaner and cost less to operate compared to diesel heavy trucks.

Ocón Wants Cleaner and Better Logistics

Company owner Eduardo Alcázar said adding 15 electric trucks shows their focus on clean and responsible transport. Ocón completed 25 years this year and now runs more than 1,120 vehicles with over 1,000 drivers. They handle normal goods, cold transport, and pallet deliveries.

Fuso Going Through Big Change

Fuso will soon join with Hino Trucks to make a new company named Archion, which will start next April. Even after the merger, both brands will still work separately with their own name.

Electric Trucks Growing Slowly in Spain

This is not Fuso’s first delivery in Spain. Last year, Planway Logística also took 22 Fuso eCanter electric trucks. Correos also uses many electric motorbikes. Step by step, electric trucks are coming more into Spain, and transport companies are moving to cleaner options.
