So
Force Motors just came out with their Q1 FY27 numbers, and it's actually a pretty good quarter for them. The company, which people mostly know for its
Force Vans and maxi cabs, reported a net profit of Rs 216.59 crore for the quarter that ended on June 30, 2026. Last year same quarter, this number was Rs 176.36 crore. That's a jump of almost 23%, which is not bad at all for a commercial vehicle maker.

Revenue also went up this quarter. The company made Rs 2,440.01 crore from its operations, compared to Rs 2,297.25 crore last year, so that's about 6% more. Total income, if we add everything together, was Rs 2,478.11 crore this time versus Rs 2,322.31 crore a year ago.
Now why this matter — Force Motors sell a lot of vans and maxi cabs, and these vehicles are used everywhere for moving people around and for last mile delivery type work too. So when this part of the business is doing okay, you can see it showing up in the bigger numbers like this.
But Costs Also Climbed
Of course nothing come free. The company's expenses also went higher this quarter, touching Rs 2,189.66 crore against Rs 2,035.64 crore last year. Most of this extra cost is because raw material got more expensive, that alone was Rs 1,749.03 crore. Employee cost added another Rs 195.12 crore on top.
Still, even after paying for all this, profit before tax came out at Rs 293.29 crore, up from Rs 277.71 crore last year. So basically cost went up, but the company still managed to grow profit faster than cost, which honestly is the whole point.
Just the Standalone Business
If you take out the subsidiaries and just look at Force Motors alone, the numbers look almost the same story. Standalone profit was Rs 212.07 crore, and revenue was Rs 2,439.89 crore. Not a huge difference from the group numbers, which basically tell you most of what Force Motors earns comes from its own core business, the
vans and maxi cabs and other CV products, not from side companies.
Force Motors Picked Up a New Company Too
One more thing happened this quarter that's kind of interesting. Force Motors bought out Veera Tanneries Private Limited completely. This was done through a share purchase deal signed back on April 23, 2026, and now Veera Tanneries is fully owned by Force Motors. Its numbers are already added into this quarter's results, which is part of why the consolidated figures look the way they do.
What This Tells Us About the Company's Plans
This acquisition thing is worth noticing because it shows Force Motors isn't just sitting comfortable with its vans and maxi cabs business. They're clearly looking to expand into other areas too, even if it's something a bit different like a tannery business. For a company that mainly makes commercial vehicles, this kind of move can help if the vehicle market slows down at some point, since they'll have another income source to lean on.
All in all, this quarter has been a good one for Force Motors — profit up, revenue up, and now a new company under their belt too.
