The first electric bus of the Electrigo was launched in Hyderabad on December 16. At first, only 10 buses of Electrigo were provided under ElectriGo's surveillance. Electrigo will keep an eye on its operations and maintenance so that the buses keep running smoothly and operators face very little downtime.
Leasing Platform Targets Private Operators
ElectriGo officially launched its electric bus leasing platform on December 17, 2025. The platform is mainly designed for private bus owners who run buses on contract routes. This includes use cases like staff buses, school buses and city travel. Operators can choose different bus sizes based on route demand.
MoU with GEMS for 50 Electric Buses
ElectriGo signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Green Energy Mobility Solutions Ltd (GEMS) to deploy 50 electric buses. The MoU was signed on August 1, 2025, in Chennai. These buses will be used on key transport routes and may include 30-seater buses, 40-seater buses and 50-seater buses over time.
End-to-end Support Model
Under this partnership, ElectriGo will provide charging infrastructure, maintenance services and real-time vehicle monitoring. The company said this full-support model helps operators focus only on running routes, while technical and service issues are handled by ElectriGo. This approach is useful for electric buses running on tight schedules.
Company Background and Technology Focus
ElectriGo comes from Turno, India’s electric small commercial vehicle platform launched in 2021 by former Zoomcar executives Hemanth Aluru and Sudhindra Reddy. ElectriGo started operations in 2024 with a focus on buses. The platform uses telematics, planned maintenance and battery lifecycle support to improve fleet efficiency.
What Company Leaders Said
Sudhindra Reddy Pidapa, Co-founder of ElectriGo, said the partnership shows a shared goal to move towards cleaner and cost-friendly transport. He added that combining leasing with strong on-ground support makes electric buses practical for operators across India.
Sunil Kumar Ravindran from GEMS and Ziel Mobility said their group is focused on real deployment, not trial projects. He shared that the roadmap includes hundreds of buses and trucks in coming years, supported by charging and maintenance systems.
Operations Across Many States
ElectriGo has expanded its business in various states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan and also in Delhi-NCR. Along with staff buses, various electric school buses will also be available in the future. With this setup, ElectriGo wants electric buses to slowly become part of everyday travel.
