Fresh funding supports BillionE Mobility’s move from pilot electric trucks to reliable, large-scale commercial freight operations.
BillionE Mobility has raised $25 million to grow its electric truck business in India. The money has been raised through a mix of equity and debt from family offices, high-net-worth individuals and financial institutions like State Bank of India.
With this fresh capital, BillionE Mobility plans to put more than 500 electric trucks on the road in the 2026–27 financial year. Along with new trucks, the company will also invest in fleet management systems and basic tech needed to run large-scale operations smoothly.

BillionE Mobility works on an E-Mobility-as-a-Service model, mainly for mid-mile and long-haul freight movement. Now the focus is changing. The company wants trucks to work daily, handle real loads, and deliver consistent results.
Over the next two to three years, BillionE Mobility aims to deploy more than 1,500 electric trucks, including electric mini trucks, depending on customer demand and funding support.
Focus on Real Operations
Sanjeev Kulkarni is CEO and co-founder of BillionE Mobility. The CEO explained that operating electric trucks on real routes is not only about good technology. He said that these trucks are fully safe and secure and also under control and operations don’t break down. He added that the fresh funding will help the team tighten ground-level execution and better support customers who are serious about cleaner, low-emission logistics.
Kartikey Hariyani, founder and chief platform architect of the BillionE platform, shared that the company is growing fast, with around 120% year-on-year growth. He also said that on some fixed routes, electric trucks in the 19-tonne and 55-tonne range are already matching diesel trucks in total running cost.
Industries Using Electric Trucks
The electric truck fleet will serve sectors like cement, automotive, metals, FMCG, chemicals, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals and mining-related industries. These sectors usually have fixed routes and high vehicle usage, which suits electric trucks and electric mini trucks very well.
Building a Complete Electric Freight Setup
BillionE Mobility is trying to build a full system around electric trucking. This includes pickup trucks, charging infrastructure, and simple fleet tracking tools. The main aim is to reduce pollution from freight transport and slowly shift industries towards cleaner movement of goods.
As more companies look for practical electric truck solutions, BillionE Mobility’s funding shows that electric freight in India is no longer just an idea — it’s slowly becoming real business on the ground.
