Eicher Trucks & Buses has shown two new passenger mobility products at PRAWAAS 5.0 event in Gandhinagar. The company has displayed Skyline Pro E, a 12-metre Intercity Electric Bus and Starline 2050 E Maxi Cab, which is targeted for regional tourism and group travels. These launches show that Eicher buses are moving fast towards electric buses and expanding its footprint in intercity transport segment.

The Skyline Pro E is made on Eicher's electric platform and it is mainly build for intercity passenger operations. This bus can seat 44 passengers, along with driver and co-driver and comes with connected vehicle technology through My Eicher platform, which help operators to track and manage the fleet easily.

Some other features of this electric bus includes more than 5 cubic metre of luggage space, dual port fast charging with water-ingress protection and a 360-degree camera system for better safety. It also have front disc brakes, rear drum brakes and air-suspended driver seat for comfortable long drives.

Talking about passenger comfort, the bus is equip with USB charging ports, ambient lighting, foldable trays and two 24-inch LED televisions, which will make the intercity journey more enjoyable for the passengers.

Apart from the electric bus, Eicher also showcase the Starline 2050 E Maxi Cab, which is design keeping regional tourism and group travel in mind. This vehicle runs on a four-cylinder engine and offer seating in 11+1+driver configuration, means it can carry 11 passengers along with driver.

The Maxi Cab comes with push-back seats, three-point seat belts and disc brakes for safer travel experience. It also has collapsible steering column and anti-roll bar on rear axle, which improves the stability while driving on highways or hilly regions, very useful for tourism routes.

Just like the electric bus, this Maxi Cab is also integrate with My Eicher connected vehicle platform, so operators can monitor fleet performance and manage operations without much hassle.
