December 2025 CV Sales Jump 24.6% YoY

December 2025 CV sales reached 83,666 units, up 24.6% YoY. Trucks, pickups, mini trucks and EVs saw strong demand across India.
India’s commercial vehicle market did really good in December 2025. Last year, 67,145 commercial vehicles were sold. This December, sales went up to 83,666. The market is slowly getting bigger.

This month, 29,560 units of Tata trucks were sold. It is higher than last year’s sales. Medium and heavy trucks are very popular.
Mahindra & Mahindra sold 22,766 units, around 20% more than December 2024. Pickup trucks and cargo LCVs are popular. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 1,262 units, a little decline, demand is slow for small electric cargo vehicles this month.
Ashok Leyland found buyers for 15,238 units in December. Growth is close to 30%. Heavy trucks and buses were in good demand. Switch Mobility sold 320 units, a big jump, thanks to electric buses and EV commercial vehicles.
VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd sold 6,737 units, growth near 46%. Strong sales for medium and heavy trucks.
Other Brands Also Doing Well
Maruti Suzuki sold 4,004 units, mostly small cargo vehicles. Force Motors delivered 1,613 units, pickup vans and rural mobility vehicles are in demand.
Daimler India sold 1,780 units, slowly growing. SML Isuzu sold 918 units, strong growth in light and medium trucks.
The ‘Others’ category jumped to 1,050 units, up 115%, shows more small and regional companies entering the market.
Electric Vehicles Rising
Electric CVs are slowly growing. People are buying more electric buses, mini trucks and pickups. Small businesses and city delivery operators are using these more.
Outlook for Early 2026
December sales show that many people are buying trucks, pickups and EV commercial vehicles. Roads and logistics work are helping the market.
Small and medium transport, urban deliveries and specialized vehicles will help keep growth steady. More companies are entering the market, so buyers get more choice.
India’s commercial vehicle market looks steady and strong, even as niche and electric vehicles are slowly growing.
