Celsius Logistics and Switch Mobility (Ashok Leyland EV arm) joined hands for big project in India. They sign MoU to deploy 350 electric reefer trucks (E-LCV). Celsius will invest around ₹100 crore for buying trucks, using Switch Mobility’s charging network, and driver training. This is major step to make cold-chain logistics electric and smarter in India.
100 Trucks Already on Road
Celsius already deployed 100 electric reefer trucks. Remaining 250 trucks planned to be on road by FY2026. Trucks will carry temperature-sensitive goods like dairy, medicines, fruits & vegetables, frozen food, seafood. This will make delivery fast and smart. Fleet operators of trucks, mini trucks, pickups, electric trucks and buses will benefit too.
Temperature Control from -25°C to +25°C
Switch Mobility’s 3.5-ton electric reefer trucks can maintain temperature from -25°C to +25°C. Perfect for India’s diverse cold-supply needs. This is biggest deployment of 3.5-ton electric reefer trucks in India. All types of mini trucks, pickups and electric trucks can use similar setup in future expansions.
Launch of ‘Celsius Green’ Fleet
Along with this, Celsius launched fully electric refrigerated fleet called ‘Celsius Green’. At first, the investment will be around Rs. 50 crore. This service will start first in New Delhi and gradually will expand to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad. This zero-emission startup will leave a benchmark for sustainable cold logistics. First-year, the revenue target will be Rs 50 crore for first year and then will reach upto Rs 250 crore ARR in next 5 years as per expectation.

Celsius Logistics CEO Swaroop Bose said, “We shifting diesel-based cold-chain to electric and digital platform. This will be India’s largest EV reefer fleet.” Switch Mobility CEO Ganesh Mani added, “This partnership will accelerate electric mobility in cold-chain sector and show example of efficiency and sustainability.”
Benefits for Trucks, Mini Trucks and Pickups
Project not only for large reefer trucks but also create roadmap for trucks, mini trucks, pickups and electric trucks. Fleet operators save fuel cost, downtime reduce, and eco-friendly delivery possible. Plans include EV-ready cold storage hubs and more charging facilities, additional investment ₹100–150 crore expected.
