Zuperia Auto enters electric 3-wheeler market with Youdha epod; targets Rs 1,000 crore revenue, plans 2-wheeler launch soon.
In a move aimed at strengthening its place in the growing electric vehicle space, Zuperia Auto Pvt Ltd has stepped into the electric 3-wheeler segment with the launch of a new passenger auto rickshaw model. Called the Youdha epod, this electric three-wheeler comes with a starting price of ₹2.79 lakh. The company hopes this new model will help it reach a major milestone: ₹1,000 crore in revenue by 2030.
Zuperia is not entirely new to the EV game. It already sells e-rickshaws and electric cargo 3-wheelers under its Lohia and Youdha brands. But this is the first time the company is directly targeting the electric passenger auto rickshaw market.
“We’re excited about this launch. The Youdha epod is built for daily city transport and is designed to handle the rough and busy roads of Indian cities,” said Ayush Lohia, CEO of Zuperia Auto.

Zuperia Auto has bold goals. In the last financial year, the company sold close to 10,000 e-rickshaws. Now, with the Youdha epod out, they aim to sell around 3,000 electric 3-wheelers by March 2026.
That said, it’s not just about one model. The company is working on more variants — including a version that could carry up to six passengers plus a driver. These models will offer more choices to both city drivers and rural transport operators.

Two-Wheelers Coming Soon
Zuperia has something new brewing—plans are underway to step into the electric two-wheeler space within the next couple of years. While they’re keeping most of the details under wraps, it’s clear the new product line will come under a completely different brand.
“This will be a fresh identity, not tied to Lohia or Youdha,” said Lohia. “We want it to speak for itself.”
Manufacturing Power and Revenue Goal
Zuperia’s Kashipur plant in Uttarakhand can roll out up to 1 lakh vehicles a year. Right now, they’re looking to increase activity, with a target of using 70 to 80% of that capacity soon. The idea is simple—meet growing demand and stay on track financially.
Meanwhile, with fuel prices inching up and more folks considering electric rides, three-wheelers and auto rickshaws are becoming the go-to for many. Zuperia sees a clear opportunity and wants to be part of that movement.
Conclusion
The EV market is heating up, especially in India. Zuperia already launched its electric three-wheeler and now has its sights set on two-wheelers. It’s a big move, no doubt. But if the current trends stick, it might just work in their favor.
