SML Mahindra reported 14.7% growth in April 2026 commercial vehicle sales, supported by better dispatch activity and steady demand for buses and trucks.

SML Mahindra started the new financial year on a positive note with better commercial vehicle sales in April 2026. The company reported total sales of 1,711 units during the month. Last year in the same period, the company had sold 1,492 units. This helped the company register a growth of around 14.7% on yearly basis.

Along with sales growth, the company also recorded a rise in production. SML Mahindra produced 1,588 vehicles in April 2026, compared to 1,529 units in the same month last year. Production growth remained close to 4%.

The company’s dispatch activity was stronger than production growth during the month. This shows that market movement was slightly better compared to manufacturing growth at the start of the year.

Demand for SML trucks and Mahindra trucks is slowly improving in some transport segments where fleet operators are increasing vehicle purchases.
