ReadyAssist Rolls Out Women-Focused Auto-Tech Skill Initiative

By Amit Jangra | Published Date : April 28, 2026

ReadyAssist launched Project Shakthi to train women in auto-tech roles with flexible work and earning opportunities.

ReadyAssist has started a new program called Project Shakthi. The main idea is simple — bring more women into the automobile service line, which is mostly male-dominated till now.

The company plans to train around 300 women in the next two years. Cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune are part of this plan.

At the start, around 25 women will be onboarded in first few months. Company is taking it step by step, not rushing too much.

One interesting thing here is, you don’t need big qualification. No degree, no technical background.

Women who have a driving licence and can ride a two-wheeler can join. That’s it.

Training will run for 10 days and it’s free. It includes both classroom learning and field work. Participants will learn things like installing dashcams and GPS devices.

Later on, they can also grow into other areas like working on vehicles, even handling service needs related to trucks, mini trucks or small pickups in future.

Income and Flexible Work

This program also focuses on earning side. Women joining this can earn up to ₹50,000 per month.

Work model is freelance type, so they can choose their own time. This is helpful for those who want flexible schedule, especially in cities where daily routine is not fixed.

It may not be easy at start, but slowly they can build skills and income both.

Pilot Program Shows Good Response

Before launching on big level, ReadyAssist tested this idea in Bengaluru.

The first batch of women has already completed training and started working. According to company, customers gave good feedback and performance was also strong.

Founder Vimal Singh SV said that this program is not just about jobs, but about building real career paths for women in technical roles.

Expansion Plan Going Ahead

Company is now planning to grow this initiative further. They may work with women groups, training centres and even government bodies to reach more people.

Right now, ReadyAssist already has a big network with 11,000+ technicians and 6,500 tow trucks across India. Their service covers more than 19,000 pin codes, so reach is quite wide.

Final Thoughts

This move looks simple, but it can make a difference. Auto service sector is changing slowly and programs like this can open new doors.

Not everything will be perfect from day one, but if execution goes right, more women may join this field in coming time. And that itself is a big shift.
