Ask anyone purchasing for a used electric three-wheeler what worries them most, and battery condition usually tops the list, mostly because there's rarely a reliable way to actually check it. Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) is trying to close that gap, partnering with Electra AI to bring battery health intelligence across its electric vehicle fleet.

The partnership will provide real-time battery monitoring, predictive analytics and State of Health, or SoH, insights across OSM's fleet. According to the company, the system is meant to give customers, financiers, retailers and fleet operators clearer visibility into how a battery is actually performing, rather than relying on age or mileage as rough proxies for battery condition the way the industry has largely done until now.

Why Battery Health Data Actually Matters

Dr Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, framed the problem in fairly direct terms, saying battery health is the single biggest factor determining an EV's residual value, and that until it can be measured transparently, the used EV market will stay constrained. That's a genuinely practical concern for anyone financing or reselling 3-wheelers — a buyer with no reliable way to check battery condition tends to either overpay for a degraded pack or underpay for a genuinely healthy one, and neither outcome is good for a functioning resale market. OSM Chief Strategy Officer Vivek Dhawan added that the analytics are also meant to support fleet productivity, reduce unplanned downtime, and feed into warranty management and product development.

What Electra AI's Platform Actually Does

Electra AI describes its platform as an intelligence layer for monitoring, optimising and controlling battery systems across their full lifecycle, combining what it calls Agentic AI, Physical AI and physics-informed battery modelling with Large Quantitative Models. Fabrizio Martini, Electra AI's co-founder and CEO, said the goal is to give vehicle manufacturers battery data that can support product development, customer assurance and day-to-day fleet operations, rather than treating battery health as a black box that only becomes visible once something fails.

What Wasn't Disclosed

The companies didn't disclose financial terms of the partnership, nor did they specify which OSM vehicle models are covered under the deal. For a manufacturer whose product range spans electric passenger and cargo vehicles, that leaves some ambiguity around whether this rolls out fleet-wide immediately or starts with specific models first. Either way, the direction is clear — as EV financing, resale and warranty decisions increasingly hinge on battery condition, having a transparent, third-party-backed measurement system is likely to matter more, not less, over the next few years.
