Circle K now runs charging facilities at 95 locations across Germany, along with its fuel stations. Altogether, the network has close to 400 charging points. In the current month alone, the company added six new charging hubs, bringing 43 more fast-charging points online.
The expansion comes after Circle K took over the German fuel station network and fuel card business from TotalEnergies. In December 2024, it also began operating charging stations, except those linked to the Deutschlandnetz project.
First Charging Options For Electric Trucks
At three of the newly opened charging parks, Circle K has introduced charging facilities for electric truck users. These charging points are set up in a way that trucks can charge without removing their trailers. This makes things easier for long vehicles such as 12-wheeler tipper trucks and other heavy trucks that usually take more space.
The first time to provide these advanced charging features for electric trucks in Germany and after that in Scandinavian countries.
New Charging Hubs in Bavaria
Several new charging hubs were launched across Bavaria. In Eckental, six high-power charging points with up to 400 kW capacity were connected. Hohenlinden received eight fast chargers of the same power level.
In Illertissen, six new fast-charging points were added, with two specially designed for electric trucks and electric tipper vehicles. The largest Bavarian hub is in Nordendorf, which has eleven fast-charging points, including two meant for electric trucks.
Expansion Beyond Bavaria
Circle K has also expanded outside Bavaria. Circle K has opened a new charging site with four fast chargers in the Rhineland-Palatinate area with a capacity 400 kW. The next site will be available in Laucha, Saxony-Anhalt with 8 fast chargers of 175 kW capacity.
Company Vision for Charging Network
Christian Howe, Managing Director of Circle K Germany, said the company aims to offer fast charging with easy digital payment and a comfortable experience. He added that Circle K wants to shape the future of mobility and become one of Germany’s top four charging providers by 2035.
While no further expansion details were shared, the latest rollout clearly shows Circle K’s growing focus on supporting not just electric cars, but also pickup trucks and commercial vehicle users across Germany.
