The Auto Driverla Sevalo scheme provides annual aid of Rs 15,000 to auto and cab drivers. To ensure all eligible drivers benefit, a WhatsApp-based grievance system has also been introduced. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the scheme on October 4, 2025, at Singh Nagar, Vijayawada.
2.9 Lakh Drivers to Benefit
So far, more than 2.9 lakh beneficiaries have been identified. The government has allocated Rs 436 crore to directly transfer funds into drivers’ bank accounts. The scheme covers over 2.2 lakh auto drivers, 39,000 three-wheeler drivers, 20,000 motor cab drivers, and 6,400 maxi cab drivers.
Expansion and Increased Aid
The government has added 30,000 new drivers to the scheme. Earlier, drivers received Rs 10,000 annually, but now aid has increased by 50% to Rs 15,000. The scheme’s coverage is expected to grow further.
Support Against Revenue Loss
Many drivers faced reduced income due to government initiatives like the Stree Shakti program, which offered free bus travel to women. To help them, the government introduced this scheme. Additionally, the green tax on older vehicles was reduced from Rs 20,000 to Rs 3,000, and Rs 1,000 crore was spent on road repairs to improve commuting.

Businesses can rely on TrucksBuses to buy trucks, pickups, mini trucks, buses, electric buses, and electric trucks. The platform provides complete details on price, features, variants, and specifications. Easy loans and EMI options are also available for all commercial vehicle purchases.
