Mahindra Logistics Expands Its Reach in the East
Mahindra Logistics is now making its presence stronger in the eastern part of India. The Guwahati warehouse itself is almost 3 lakh sq. ft., the biggest in the whole North-East area. The Agartala one is near 1.3 lakh sq. ft. Both are made to handle Mahindra’s full range of Bolero pickups, heavy trucks and electric ones too. Inside the facility, the sorting and loading system looks advanced, so goods move out quickly.
Smart Location Choice
Location picked smartly. The Guwahati hub is very near to NH-17, only a few kilometers from the airport and the rail station, easy for transporters. Agartala one connected with the Bangladesh trade road, so cross-border trucks can go easily without much delay.
Helping Many Businesses
From FMCG, e-commerce, pharma, to auto, all industries benefit. The company manages storage, dispatch and delivery, whether long route or last mile, everything under one system. This step really supports small and medium-sized businesses in the East region.
Local People Getting Jobs
In Guwahati, Mahindra also made a Community Center of Excellence with the Logistics Skill Council. Around 2,000 jobs will come, and half people from the local side only. Training is also given, so people can learn and earn both. Good step for the youth in that area.
Better Connection for Future
These hubs are now linked with big projects, Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, Bharatmala highways, Kolkata-Haldia port, and Brahmaputra terminals. New links like Maitri Setu and the Akhaura-Agartala rail line will make travel easy for trucks and buses in small cities.
Hemant Sikka, MD & CEO, said this expansion will help serve more than 400 corporate clients in the region. He added, “With these new sites, our service speed and reliability go much higher.”
