JBM Electric Vehicles (JBMEV), a subsidiary of JBM Auto Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with electric commercial vehicle leasing platform Drivn to supply 500 electric buses in India. According to him, e-bus registrations increased by 40% during the first half of 2026, with 2,944 buses registered under government initiatives such as PM E-Bus Sewa and PM E-Drive. He added that combining JBM's manufacturing capabilities with Drivn's leasing platform will help fleet operators shift to electric buses with better financial flexibility.

JBM has been manufacturing electric buses since 2018 and has already deployed more than 3,500 electric buses. The company expects this number to cross 5,000 buses within the next year.
According to JBM, its electric buses have collectively covered over 450 million electric kilometres and transported 1.5 billion passengers. The company is now working towards achieving 3 billion electric kilometres in the coming years.
