Mahindra & Mahindra and TVS Motor did very well. Mahindra sold 12,780 units, growing 54% from 8,288 last October. Their electric passenger autos are getting popular in cities. TVS sold 5,560 units, more than double from last year’s 2,451 units. A strong dealer network and more electric models helped.
Bajaj Auto still leads ICE three-wheelers with 50,986 units sold, up from 47,983 last year. Piaggio sold 9,779 units, slightly higher than last year. Their Ape series updates and some EV push helped them keep steady growth.
Atul Auto sold 3,581 units, a small rise from 3,212 units last year. They continue to do well in smaller towns with reliable models.
Electric Three-Wheelers
Electric three-wheelers saw mixed results. YC Electric sold 3,500 units, down from 4,600 last year. Mayuri sold 2,264 and Citylife sold 1,886 units, showing slight decline because of tough competition. Smaller EV brands together sold 39,181 units, lower than last year’s 42,399 units.
Passenger Autos and Market Trend
Passenger autos are still very important for local transport. October 2025 shows that electric three-wheelers are slowly getting trust in cities, but ICE vehicles still dominate towns. Overall, sales are looking good heading into the festive season.
October shows clear growth with Mahindra and TVS leading in electric segment, Bajaj and Piaggio staying strong in ICE. Market seems positive for the next few months.
