The complete order includes 876 electric buses, which will be introduced in phases across eight cities in Rajasthan. The project is part of the Central Government's PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme, an initiative that supports cities in building cleaner and more reliable public transport systems.

The scheme mainly focuses on places where organized city bus services are still developing. With these new buses, passengers are expected to get a more comfortable and environmentally friendly travel option.

Consortium to Handle Operations

The EKA Mobility and Chartered Speed will manage this project in partnership. EKA Mobility will supply the electric buses and Chartered Speed will manage their daily operations, fleet deployment and service management once the vehicles are fully introduced.

This partnership is expected to ensure smooth operations as the buses are added to city transport networks in different parts of Rajasthan.

Electric Buses Designed for Modern City Transport

The new buses are built on EKA Mobility's modular electric vehicle platform. They come with connected fleet management technology that helps operators monitor vehicle performance and improve fleet efficiency.

Since the buses are fully electric, they produce zero tailpipe emissions and are a good option for eco-friendly public transport. The design also includes a dedicated wheelchair lift system, allowing Divyang passengers to board the buses more easily and making public transport more accessible.

Company Continues to Expand Its Presence

Speaking about the rollout, Dr. Sudhir Mehta (Founder and Chairman of EKA Mobility) said the Rajasthan deployment will prove to be a great milestone in the company's expansion journey. He also introduced similar operations already underway in states such as Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Andhra Pradesh, and will continue to strengthen its presence in India's electric mobility sector.

The latest deployment also highlights the growing role of EKA Mobility commercial vehicles in supporting sustainable public transport projects across different regions of the country.
