Apollo Tyres Expands Rural Reach with New Mobile Tyre Store Initiative

By Amit Jangra | Published Date : May 21, 2026

Apollo Tyres has started mobile tyre vans to provide tyre sales and vehicle support services directly in villages and smaller towns across India.

The company has introduced moving tyre shops for village customers where people can check tyres, buy products and get basic vehicle support easily.  The first mobile store was started from Pandavapura village in Karnataka on May 20, 2026. Company officials said more such vehicles may come across different states in the next one to two years.

Under this new idea, Apollo Tyres will send specially designed vans to rural locations where proper tyre shops are not easily available. These mobile stores will carry different tyre options along with company staff who can guide customers about tyre use and maintenance.

Many people in villages use vehicles daily for farming work, cargo transport and local travel. Operators connected with mini trucks and pickups often face difficulty finding branded tyre support nearby.

Because of this, customers sometimes depend on small local markets where product choice remains limited. Apollo feels the mobile store system may help reduce this problem slowly.

Support for Rural Transport Users

In many rural areas, commercial vehicles like trucks and small cargo carriers travel long distances on rough roads daily. Tyre condition becomes very important because poor tyres can affect safety and vehicle performance badly.

People connected with buses and local transport services also need regular tyre checking and replacement support, but proper service centres are not available everywhere.
The company said trained staff inside the mobile van will also explain tyre care, maintenance and correct product usage to customers directly at the location itself.

Company Planning Bigger Expansion

Right now only the first vehicle has started operations, but Apollo Tyres plans to increase the number slowly. Reports connected with the project suggest around 25 mobile tyre vans may become operational across India during the next 18 to 24 months.

Industry people say rural automobile markets are growing steadily because vehicle ownership is increasing in villages and smaller transport routes. Demand connected with pickups, cargo vehicles and passenger transport is also rising in many rural belts.

Because of this, tyre companies are now trying to improve direct customer reach outside big cities.

Rural Market Becoming Important

For many years, organised tyre retail remained mostly focused on cities and highways. But now companies are seeing more business opportunities in smaller towns and remote locations also.

Transport businesses connected with trucks and daily goods movement are increasing slowly in rural India due to farming logistics, construction work and delivery activity.
Experts connected with the automobile market believe mobile service models may help companies build stronger customer trust in areas where branded automotive support was earlier limited.

Health Camp Also Organised

Along with the launch event, Apollo Tyres Foundation also organised a free health checkup camp for local villagers. Company officials said the event was planned as part of community support activities connected with the launch.

Apollo Tyres currently sells products in many countries and operates manufacturing plants in India and Europe. Apart from passenger vehicle tyres, the company also works in tyre segments connected with buses, commercial vehicles and transport operations.

Many people in the transport sector now feel rural vehicle demand may continue growing strongly in coming years, especially in areas connected with cargo movement and small business transport.
