Apollo Tyres is expanding use of digital and artificial intelligence-led tool across its manufacturing plant, after technology deploy in tyre curing help shorten production cycle. Company said in its FY26 annual report that cure data analysis through digital technology has reduce curing cycle time and is being expand across plant now.

Curing is stage in which uncured tyre is place in mould and expose to heat and pressure, this give tyre its final shape and physical property. Shorter curing cycle can help raise plant output and reduce energy use too, which matter a lot for tyre use in trucks, buses and mini trucks segment. Apollo did not disclose how much curing time has reduce, or which plant cover under expansion, or what expect cost and energy saving will be.
AI-Based Mixing System In Development
Company is also developing artificial intelligence and machine learning based mixing system to improve process consistency and reduce rework, as per annual report. Tyre production involve mixing rubber with filler, chemical and other material together. Apollo is working on technology that can improve dispersion of these material and give more consistent compound for tyres use in pickups and heavy trucks alike.
Programme focus mainly on high-performance silica compound and formulation that use sustainable material. Company also evaluating rubber preheating to improve filler incorporation, lower energy use during mixing and produce more consistent compound overall.
Apollo separately use three-dimensional simulation in tread-die design too. This technology help improve dimensional stability, tyre uniformity, manufacturing precision and proportion of product made correctly in first attempt itself, report said.
Manufacturing Platform Deploy Across Plants
These new project are part of wider digital transformation happening at Apollo Tyres' factory. Company has complete rollout of its in-house Advanced Manufacturing Execution System, or AMES, across all major manufacturing plant. This cloud-based system give Apollo real-time visibility into factory operation and link shop-floor equipment with wider enterprise system.
Apollo said programme has move from deployment stage to "value realisation" phase now, with focus on improving productivity, quality control and operating discipline. System has also enable complete tyre-level barcode traceability across several radial and bias tyre category, useful for buses and trucks tyres tracking. This allow company to follow individual tyres through production and support quality check, compliance and warranty management.
AI Bring Early Cost Savings
Apollo has set up dedicated AI Innovation Unit and is expanding AI application across manufacturing, supply chain and research and development. Company said initiative already produce gain in productivity, energy efficiency, yield optimisation and decision-making speed.
An AI-based power-bidding application at Apollo's Andhra Pradesh plant generate saving of more than Rs 1 crore within just three month. Another AI tool reduce time require for root-cause analysis by more than 90%, as per report.
Future Plans For AI And Digital Tools
Apollo said several AI and machine learning concept develop during FY26 would move towards product development in FY27. Company is also exploring generative AI, agent-based AI, digital twin, connected factory technology and augmented and virtual reality tool.
Apollo has not disclose its plan investment in these technology or plant-wise implementation schedule, but this move show company is shifting from small digital pilot towards wider use of AI in tyre production, whether it for trucks, buses, mini trucks or pickups segment and overall factory management too.
