Driveline powering the BS6 Mahindra truck and bus range shall consist of the same tried and tested mPower and MDI tech engines, as used in BS4 era. The FuelSmart technology of multi drive mode gets continued in BS6 era, to offer different combinations of power and fuel economy as per requirements of load and road gradient.
The company has retained almost 90% of the parts in the transition from BS4 to BS6, which brings in cost economics for the commercial vehicle manufacturer and peace of mind for the owner transporter. Stepping into the future, world class SCR technology of emission controls will be the way forward. While in heavy commercial vehicles space, the company had already switched to SCR technology in BS4 phase itself, the LCV & ICV platforms will now be upgraded to SCR systems.
