Tata Prima 3540.K AutoShift Tipper Launch at EXCON 2025 – Specs & Features

At EXCON 2025, Tata Motors introduced its most powerful tipper yet — the Tata Prima 3540.K AutoShift, engineered for deep mining and heavy-haulage applications.

The Prima 3540.K AutoShift is powered by an 8.5 L Cummins diesel engine delivering a 375 hp and 1800 Nm torque, providing robust power for demanding operations.

The Prima 3540.K rides on a ladder-type heavy-duty chassis frame with riveted/bolted cross members and supports a GVW of 35 tonne, making it ideal for deep-mining haulage.

This tipper is equipped with 12-speed automated manual transmission with crawler and two reverse gears. The AutoShift gearbox ensures smooth shifts and reduced driver fatigue.

The vehicle includes a 300-litre fuel tank with anti-fuel-theft protection. Combined with its high-torque engine, this setup delivers efficient performance in continuous operations.

This tipper features a 6×4 axle configuration with parabolic leaf springs and equalizer mechanism at the front and leaf springs with 48-ton inverted leaf bogie at the rear.
