India’s Commercial Vehicle Sales: Dec 2025 vs Dec 2024 as per FADA Report
India’s commercial vehicle retail market grew from 67,145 units in December 2024 to 83,666 units in December 2025, marking a strong year-on-year recovery.
Tata Motors increased retail sales from 24,327 units in Dec’24 to 29,560 units in Dec’25, though its market share dipped slightly from 36.23% to 35.33%.
Mahindra & Mahindra recorded higher volumes at 22,766 units in Dec’25 versus 18,917 units in Dec’24, with market share moderating from 28.17% to 27.21%.
Ashok Leyland strengthened its position by growing sales from 11,745 units in Dec’24 to 15,238 units in Dec’25, improving market share from 17.49% to 18.21%.
VE Commercial Vehicles posted strong growth, rising from 4,594 units in Dec’24 to 6,737 units in Dec’25, with market share increasing from 6.84% to 8.05%.
Maruti Suzuki grew in volume from 3,550 units in Dec’24 to 4,004 units in Dec’25, despite a market share decline from 5.29% to 4.79%.
Force Motors recorded retail sales of 1,613 units in Dec’25 compared to 1,280 units sold in Dec’24, improving market share to 1.93% from 1.91%.
BharatBenz reported retail sales of 1,780 units in Dec’25, registering growth over 1,600 units sold in Dec'24. Market share slightly declined to 2.13% from 2.38%.
