From January 1, 2026, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) will stop all new petrol and diesel cabs, delivery vehicles, and 2‑wheelers used for deliveries in Delhi‑NCR.

This rule applies to cab aggregators, delivery firms, e‑commerce logistics, light commercial and goods vehicles, and even two-wheelers used for deliveries

From January 1, 2026 onward, only CNG or electric vehicles will be allowed in these fleets—no more petrol/diesel options.

CAQM says commercial vehicles, especially delivery fleets, pollute more than private cars. This step is a push to clean up the air.

CAQM is asking Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan to apply the same rule, focusing on Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.
